Okay. So I guess that I've been forgiven for being not there when I said I'd be there. Again, sorry...
Went down on my lunch hour to visit Lady Sundress to say hi. Hung out while she worked and chatted for a while. Made it back to the office late, and really didn't care. We're getting busy, and one guy is looking at a new job, and the other is going to be going to law school soon, and we're going to hire someone new soon. And I'm the old hat guy. You know: The guy who's been there forever, and you wonder why he's still there. Yup, that's me. Woo Hoo.
I spent far too much money this afternoon, much that I really can't afford to spend, but you know, the gamer geek in me was just crying out to get that game. Damn, damn, damn Jedi Knight crap. And can't get it to run on my pseudo suped up system. Damn, Damn, Damn.
But, yes. How petty.
The family has thursday nights together again. It's the power of Survivor night in my house. The one show that we can all agree on (now there are two thanks to my grandmother's newfound love of Buffy). We sit around and, just like we do with Jeopardy, yell and hollar at the television and the players like most folks do with sporting events. And we made chili dogs, and dip, and cranberry juice for our collective cold, and it is good.
And I'm coughing. And sniffling. And I now have the stupid head cold that my mother's had the whole of her vacation. Great. She and grandma are going to San Diego tomorrow to spend the day. And I'm keeping my sick arse at home.
I should. Perhaps. Maybe.
And I should go to bed. Bed. Bed.
And sleep. Sleep. SLEEP.
And what is so funny about peace, love and understanding?
