kyillee) tired, but I'm tired. It's been a heck of a long ass weekend of stuff.
Was up until 3:30am on Friday prepping for saturday's shoot (and really, it's scary how much you can do and still not feel prepared for stuff) with Alex...
Got to Alex's place at 8:30am and got rolling on scheduling, setting up, and started getting shots. ONe actor showed, the other no showed, we made due with what we had (and he was great), had a great DP (director of photography) an excellent crew, a wonderful production designer, and two short films in the can.
Alex and I decided to never try and direct two different films, with two different directors in the same day. A little bit of rushed, and bigtime crunchtime, but woah. Egads. So much good stuff on digital. Excellent stuff.
Oh yeah, and a 2x4 dropped on my head. OUCHness.
Got finished and had to stick my head into Glen and Rena's club or face social piriah status. And a good club--60's style--some good dancing, good music, expensive drinks, and catching up with a whole lot of folks who I've not seen in a long while. And cute girls. The cute girl part makes the exhuastion all good.
Got home and passed out...3ish am.
Got up sometime this mornining (I'm still not quite sure when) and got out to Alex's place again to meet up with him and Jenn to go material shopping...cuz when you have a costume designer who's looking to use neat materials in practicing her trade, you just gotta jump in there :-) So I'm getting (yaaay!) a couple of custom neck ties and a Kilt! Whoooot!
Then went and had a late lunch (really late) with Jenn, and talked about life, the universe, and everything. Cuz, you know...food and conversation is a good thing :-)
And now next week...lotsa work at work, fictionados on monday, attending a board meeting on tuesday, editing on wednesday, and then god knows what else this week. I say, yay. Yay! Hippie! Yippie! Huzzah! Wootani! Kaloo Kalay! Blue-oo-oo!
Right, now to bed type things...maybe.
