So I had to take photos at a rather large venue graduation tonight. Veteran's Stadium in Long Beach. And in doing so, I've re-affirmed a fact that I kinda learned when I was working at Disneyland--if you walk like you know what you're doing, folks will leave you alone. Now, to expand on that (as I deduced today) if you're wearing a suit and walk like you know what you're doing not only will folks leave you alone, but sometimes they'll defer to you. I swear, were I one of them there horrible people in the world, the stuff I could have done today...that being said, I just took pictures. Click click flash.
I led a lone raiding party to Best Buy (Please note: This is not a commercial), and picked up that movie with the dead kid, the Star Trek kid with the LJ, the child star who thought he was michael jackson for a while, and the fat kid who's now on Crossing Jordan. I also grabbed the film with Young Obi Wan, the cute Scottish Chick from Gosford Park and the deadbeat dad from The Full Monty. (What? You don't recognize Stand By Me and Trainspotting?)
As I was walking out of the store, I spied a 3 CD best of import for Cyndi Lauper...with work from her whole career...for $13. Man, I forgot how much an influence Prince was on her early work...and just how luscious her voice is when she's *really* singing...and how many of these freaking songs I remember...great stuff...
( In other news, I lived a moment from a Barenaked Ladies song...three guesses at which... )I think tomorrow may be a twinkie day...
