Dear Lord in heaven why am I still up? Oh yeah...that's right...I was going to just play a little bit of MedievalTotal War. Dumb, dumb dumb. There is no such thing as a quick game of this...Unless you're playing the Vikings. Then it's quick. But otherwise, you're in it for the long haul. I mean, c'mon, how many times can the English come back from being vanquished, huh? I mean, really.
I've got to say that I truly enjoy long weekends. It gives me the chance to completely screw up my normal sleep schedule, yet does not give me enough time to get it back on track. Especially when all you want to do is *nothing* It's amazing how tiring *nothing* really is. That's why the best vacations where you do *nothing* involve at least a week of doing *nothing* It gives you a little time to undo that and start doing *something* from time to time.
Oooh, nonsensicals. Gotta love it.

Friday night I was treated to a belated birthday dinner by Alexander, which featured Saki and Sushi. Lots of good *cheap* sushi. Ah, spicy yellow tail. Mmmm.... The truly frightening thing is that I went *home* and went to *gasp* BED. Concept. Real High Concept.
After sleeping well, (there's a phrase I've not said in a while) I got up early on a saturday morning and ran errands. And then ventured to catch ( Land of The Dead ).
Anyrate, I ended up staying up until some ungodly hour to The Dark Crystal, and dreamt of Gelflings, and , and Pod People, and Mystics, and 3 suns far overhead. Unfortunately I slept in the chair and woke up with a crick in my neck.
I spent most of today doing much of nothing, and reading comic books (huzzah!) and watching reruns of Venus Williams eeking out a mad close victory at Wimbledon.
But now I sit here wide awake, ranting, writing about nothing, and watching Barenaked Ladies Videos at the god early AM.
But at least I've not spent mad amounts of money this weekend.
