Had time to think, though. About stuff. About things I need to do. About things I want to do. This year. This time. At this day and age...

A List of Stuff to Do This year (not to be confused with "Resolutions")

I'm going to read a book a week. I've not been reading heavy duty in far too long. And my list has backed up. And I just love doing it. So yeah. Must read.

I'm going to write at least an hour a day. For me. On whatever. But towards an end. A story, a chapter, a couple of pages of screenplay, an LJ entry. A freaking haiku. Rumours on a bathroom wall. Need it. Like breathing. Who cares if it's good (well, I do, kinda, but you know), or if anyone else really digs it. Just need to do it. Something from my head. Head, to heart to hands. If that makes sense.

Watch at least ONE first run film a month. I don't know where it happened, but somewhere along the line, I stopped going to the movies. I used to go so often that I was on one of those survey things for three years. I was going to 6 films a month. Now, I'm lucky if I make one every 6 months.

Make time to visit with at least one good friend a month. IE, none of this bullshit that I often pass off on myself about how I don't have time to see people. There is time, if I take it. Even if it's for an hour or two.

Take a field trip at least once a month. Go to a museum. A show. A play. A talk. A convention. A garden, or a miracle of nature. Something to expand my mind. It's getting soggy.

Laugh at least once a day. This should be easier than it is, but there is so much to make me happy in this world. In my life. And that's just good. I just need to remember it.

So, yeah. Pretty straightforward. Easy to do, right? Should be. Could be. Needs to be.
