My Weekend: Abbridged

Friday night went with Dave to Underground. The Tempest had decided to hire a new chef with a following, and well...they were still trying to get customers out at 10:30. Dave and I, however had already been let in on the list, and were sitting at the bar.

Being a regular has its priviledges.

Danced. Toasted. Talked. Rode home. Fun.

Got up relatively early on Saturday, ran around and got some errands done (though, not as many as I'd like). Went on a long, but delightful date which included Poker at Bri Bri's and then Swing Dancing--all with a quite lovely, and extremely intelligent woman. I had a great (albeit subdued--for me) evening. Could it happen again? This remains to be seen.

Got home quite late, and, rather than go to sleep, I stayed up watching movies. Crashed out around 5:20 or so.

I did not dream.

Woke up early again today, and just vegged out. Read a good deal. Watched Ray on DVD, and completely (and quite happilly) avoided the Super Bowl.

I miss hockey.

Now to raid the fridge and put stylus to paper. I've got 10 pages due in a week.

Hockey? I don't think I remember what that is. Something about sticks?

Not having to do with your posting...

Dear Fellow CC 96-er,
Recently I got a solicitation from the Class of '96. It asked for money and for me to "update them for the class notes in the space below."
This pissed me off since I HAVE sent in stuff to class notes, 3 times (MBA, Wedding, trips to China w/ fellow Yalies) and none of those were ever put IN the damned class notes.
So I hand wrote "I've submitted three things over three years, and they never appear. I'll start participating when I'm treated like a member of the class."
Was that wrong of me? Am I pissed off for nothing? Do you REALLY have to have a superior court judge as your officiant to get into the class notes? Do only MBA's from other Ivy's count?

Naw, not wrong of you.

You know, i often wonder about how those go. There are often cliques that get in, it seems. That being said, I know of a couple of people whose emails just never got read, or were spam blocked, etc. Send 'em again, and see if they hit print.

And after that, just screw 'em.

Honestly, I know that people have made up stuff just to appear. And then there are those that send in stuff on other people...which get in often.

I dunno. you could always spam wassisfaces' inbox.

The wedding? The wedding I sent an ACTUAL freaking annoucement (paper kind) to the mailbox for that stuff.

Nothing.

STRONG memories of one of the girls @ Yale in London who told another girl she didn't like me but I had never met her....

Everyone involved is either 30 or close to, come on people, grow up.
