Stayed home again today. Especially when I was woken up from a wonderfully sound Nyquil coma at 5:30am by a coughing jag. Was up. Awake. Tired. And coughing. Had mom call in sick for me and then make a doctor's appointment.

Turns out it's not Bronchitis...it's Tracheaitis. Similar vein, a bit higher. I've been told, doctor's orders, that I'm supposed to not talk for the rest of today and tomorrow. For those of you who know me well, know how difficult...damn near impossible it is to do.

Not that I've not done it afore. Because I have. Multiple times. It's just a pain in the arse. But it also means that under doctor's orders, I'm not to go to work.

"What do you do for a living?"
"I find medical and technical experts for attorneys."
"Oh, really?" I'm used to getting this response.
"Yeah," I croaked.
"So what does that entail?"
"I'm on the phone a lot, talking to doctors like you."
"Well, there'll be none of that for at least another day. No work for you."

But what it also means is that I can't talk. Laughing hurts, and basically, I'm all by my lonesome right now, and can't chat. And on meds that make me slightly tipsy, as it were. So, no real driving for me. Whoopa.

Reading. Reading is fundamental. And movies. Movies are good, too.

Okay. Going to try and do something productive in the afternoon's light. Which will not include sit-ups, as all this coughing has been a great ab workout.
