There are many happy birthdays happening now....right...NOW. Merry Birthdays to you all. I love y'all much, and will mock you for being concieved drunkenly on St. Patrick's Day. You know who you are.
The more I learn about what I'm doing at work, the more I am given, the more I get to step into the stuff, as it were, the more I like it. And the more I become frightened that the bottom will drop out because I let it. But, here's to not dropping.
Got to have dinner with Paul and Ana, which was nice. I knew they lived close to work, but I didn't realize they were *that* close. Wowzers. Glad to be able to harrass them and catch up on them, their kids and life.
And TGI Friday's had been missed by me...but when did they shrink their menu so?
I shall no longer complain about needing to write more. I shall now complain about finishing the writing that I have given myself to work on. IE, Novel, Screenplay(s), poem(s), and a (Liz, forgive me) article. Or three.
Made it to West LA to catch Sideways with Maggie. Good movie and good company, and a good time. But why issit that we seem to catch movies that have Full Frontal Male Nudity?
The movie was very good though, and will be added to my collection once it comes out...some movies just speak to me, and this one did...frighteningly enough it was a "Chick Flick" for Men. No shit. Someone actually made a Chick Flick that is a Guy's Movie. Guy Code written all over that thing. Damn.
And I want to drink wine now, thank you very much. And I wasn't ever into Pinot Noir. I like Merlot, so shoot me.
I have returned to my Grunge roots, and I can't say why. But I think that whatever it tapped into originally, has come back to the surface, or is right below. And it suits me, almost as much as Jazz or Punk.
Now, where's my copy of Bush's Sixteen Stone?
