Ah, the 4th of July...

...and I'm going to kick Dave's ass...see, I told him to go home from work the other day, as he was sick. But noooooooo he wouldn't, and came in again the next day. And now, I'm a bit on the ill side. On my day off. Sick.
But I did get to sit and listen to the rest of Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix. T'was excelent! WOW. Sheet. Dude. Egads. OUCH. Good Lord.
Damn.
Honestly, it is not a children's book. It really isn't, you know? Not in the "little kid" sense. It's far too much. But amazing, in a played down sense. And we have to wait for another bloody year afore we get some more of it.
Ah, there go the fireworks...the neighbors have blocked off the streets today for a block party. Stretches a good three blocks down. Though we got plenty of notice, they forgot to tell us what time it was going to get rolling. So as a result, we're trapped in by the bounce houses on either side of the block.
Ah, more fireworks, and loud poppy illegal firecrackers. I'm not talking about little popping things, or the nice side of the roadside sales tyle stuff. Nope. I'm talking about things smuggled up from Tiajuana. Like Cherry bombs and M4's. For the uninitiated, that's a quarter stick of dynamite. You know. Big loud, BOOM. Shakes everything everywhere. One year they stuck one of them things in a metal trash can.
They're still looking for the lid. The rest was peeled like a banana.
Oooh. Bottle rocket.
My head hurts, I'm tired of lying about, and it's hot in my house. Even when the airconditioner is running. And the only thing on tv right now is An American Werewolf in Paris. Pales in comparison to the original, by far.
And damn. Barry White died. And believe it or not, he was a 2nd cousin by my unpresent father, through marriage. Which made him absolutely nothing, but it was interesting none the less.
Oh, not to be ill on a holiday, where I was supposed to do stuff. But you know. Yeah.
It's a grand old flag
it's a high flying flag
and forever in truth may it wave
ev'ry heart beats true
for the red white and blue
where there's never a boast or a brag
should auld acquaintance be forgot
keep your eye on the Grand Old Flag!
Happy Independence Day!
